I recently purchased a 4420-5963 with no os.....I'm a complete idiot for the most part with computers, btw......
I then purchased a set of recovery cd's......2 system cd's and 2 recovery cd's(4 cd's total) . They were purchased from ebay. The seller told me they would re-install the os along with all drivers......needless to say, they wouldn't even boot...
I then contacted the seller who advised me to start the process with a vista cd. Well, I've installed the new os, but the recovery cd's still won't run.
The os is the same as the oem version (vista home premium).
As it sits now, it doesn't recognize the wifi card, or anything else for that matter. I have tried downloading drivers to a zip drive and transferring them over to the acer, but like I said, I'm an idiot with computers and probably should have just purchased a fully up and running system to begin with.......
I'm lost......... and a little frustrated. Is there any help for me?
I have tried the alt+f10 recovery and it doesn't work.
What are the very first drivers I need to get it online? There is a sticker on the bottom that says broadcom wireless ......
    -Thanks, Matt
