    4820T won't start with RTC battery

    It's a weird issue. The computer starts only after i press the power button, wait 30 seconds, and then press it again. Sometimes it needs more time, and sometimes it won't start at all.

    I figured it was a BIOS issue so i updated it but it didn't make any difference, and neither did loading default settings.

    It wasn't until I removed the RTC battery that I saw this problem go away.

    Can anyone help me with this? It's not my computer, I'm just installing W8.1 on it for a friend.
