    Hi,

    Just received a replacement keyboard.

How do I release the locking latch for the ribbon cable from the FCC?

I've read the lighted keyboard replacement threads and the service manual and I just don't get it. I don't want to bugger anything up.

    TIA

You can just pull the old ribbon out horizontally.

Pull forward (the black part) and lift up. Same procedure backwards to reinstall.
