    are you using optical ?
if you have no SPDIF ?
i have the same card in my laptop and it goes all the way to 7-1 :D
just looked at your spec and you have optical.

you will need a mini tosslink adapter
which go's in the headphone jack(see pic).

If you're willing to put up with three analog cables, you can actually set up your Aspire's sound card to output 5.1 sound using the headphone, mic, and line in jacks. I forget which is which, but each jack outputs two channels when set up like that - Center/Subwoofer, Front Left/Right, and Rear Left/Right.

i used the realtek control panel and found optical had better sample rate, less interference from power source's :D

ya , u r right .I don't have optical interface on the amp, thats why i a want to use audio jacks. B'coz here in Saudi Arabia it is difficult to get an optical interface sbs 580.
Hence if u can suggest some way to use available resourses in Vista.
