I recently got a Acer Aspire 5050. This is the first laptop I've ever had. Before this, I've used desktops with fairly good connections.

I was on YouTube and trying to watch videos, but the video would freeze up every couple of secondsIt would play for a few seconds, then freeze up again.

I'm concerned about this - Is there something I can download to make this smoother?

I play MMORPGs ( online multiplayer games ) and I'm worried they might not work on this.

Short version: Videos are choppy. What can be downloaded to smooth them out? Are all laptops this way? What can be done?

Sounds like a driver issue to me. Make sure you have the latest driver and see if that helps. The 5050's drivers can be found on the acer euro site located here.
