Just do what I do, go to ATI and download the latest desktop driver for the Xpress 1100 IGP. After that go and download driver heaven's mobility mod tool located here run the mod tool on the desktop driver you downloaded(follow the instructions).

What this is does is that it modifies the desktop driver so that it can work on your 5102. I have been doing this for many months as acer (like other manufacturers) don't even attempt to keep their drivers up-to-date.

Just click on the links in my previous post to get the XP driver from ATI. If you are not comfortable modifying drivers then just use the old one from acer however that driver is more than 1 year old.

sivakrishnamannem do exactly what I said in my previous post and you will have the latest ATI driver working with your 5102, you are running vista so get the vista desktop driver instead from ATI.

This worked for me the in the last few weeks that I had XP MCE installed(that was a few months back now) perhaps the latest version of the mod tool doesn't work well with XP anymore :(

All I do is follow what the mod tool webpage says to do, nothing else. Just point it to where the driver package that you downloaded from ATI is located and then hit modify. It will modify the driver package so it can work on notebooks.

Also because the driver is modified it will loose it's driver signing which windows will warn you about during installation (it will say the drivers aren't signed; do you want to continue or not say yes). That is all I do really, all of this info is on the mod tool webpage. :)

Yes you would have to do it for both vista and XP if you are dual booting. Remember vista drivers are different from XP drivers :) .
