    hi everyone,
    i am trying to uninstall an annoying acer screensaver (what i think is a screensaver) on my roommate's laptop. i'm sorry if this is VERY stupid, but i can't figure out why this stupid thing comes up, and it seems to be an advertisement for acer. she bought this computer in argentina, where we live, and i don't know if this is the same in other countries.
    again, sorry to ask something so basic, but i am not familiar with vista, and i haven't found the option to remove it.

    right click on a BLANK part of the desktop

    a window should pop up
    click on the screensaver TAB

    under screensaver click the down arrow to the left of the screensaver TITLE

    then click NONE from the DROP DOWN LIST
    then click APPLY
    then clikc OK

    let me know it that works or not....

    you an also uninstall from add remove program or uninstall program in vista

    or just look *.scr in you windows folder and delete the acer one
