This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     5610 booting from XP cd

    My aspire 5610 came preinstalled w/Vista
    I have XP pro ready to roll but even after setting bios to boot from cd first XP only spins up like it wants to boot then loads vista
    the cd boots fine on both my Emachines though

    pressing f12 and enter (to boot from the cd) did no good either.

    Any suggestions
