    Hey all:

I installed the 3224 BIOS update and I'm noticing that my fan runs noticeably less than it used to. It also runs at lower RPMs. I remember someone in the other thread about 3224 mentioning that they thought their fan was running at higher RPMs. I unfortunately was not tracking CPU and HD temps before this and can't comment on any change there.

Anyone noticing a change in cooling behaviour since applying the update? Anyone notice improvements or otherwise in temperatures?

    Thanks,

    sibelius

I should have mentioned that my CPU temperature now, according to NHC, is a pretty constant 55 degrees with the HD varying from 39 to 47 degrees. Not a problem in either case. I'd just like a point of reference compared to other 5670s whether their owners have updated the BIOS or not.

    Thanks,

    sibelius

I use Mobilemeter to track temps, and have noticed no change in behaviour since flashing the new bios.
Idle temps run 54-55C pretty constantly, with no noticeable change in fan activity FWIW, same as before.

Thanks Intensecure. It's good to know that our temps are the same. Anyone else with a similar or different experience to report?
