    Hey all,

I've had my Acer 5672 for less than a month and I'm already noticing problem with the display. I believe the problem relates to the video card (X1400).

My screen flickers, skips, distorts, and I have a blue vertical line on the left side. This problem is noticeable in Windows and when I'm in the bootup screen (BIOS). I've tried a clean install, turning off hardware acceleration, etc. Nothing worked at all.

I sent an email to Acer but they still haven't replied. I'm just wondering what Acer usually does in terms of repair? From past experience with Sony, they'll send me a box to ship the unit back. What about Acer? Also, because this problem relates to the display and video card, do you think its okay to take out the HDD? I have some private data on it.

    Thanks!

Less than a month? Can you exchange it at the point of purchase? That would be easiest.

I don't think I can exchange it, I bought it from Newegg. And I also did a clean install of the OS. Still have that hidden partition though, but I have no idea how to revert back to the default set up.

I need to contact Acer. They haven't replied to my email yet. Do you guy know of a tech support number? I can't find it in the manuals.

Also, the display does not work EVEN in the non-os environment.

    Thanks!
