Use: Some Gaming (FarCry, 1942, role playing, strategy...), internet.

    Newegg: 1GB ram ATI X1600 - $1070 + shipping

    CompUSA: 2GB ram ATIX1400 - $1399 at local store

Thing is, Newegg has a 7 dead pixel policy and at Compusa I can exchange within 21 days. I like the Newegg deal and can always add ram, however, I like dealing with a local store.

Is the X1600 that much better than the X1400?

for a gamming notebook i think that x1600 is more important that 2gb ram, and you can get the extra 1gb ram from newegg for less than $300

Newegg. You'll be happier with the x1600.
