    Hi...
When I try to play games like NHL 08, Fifa 08, Grand Prix 4 or Virtua tennis, there are some black lines or some black pixels all over the screens...
I tried to reinstall/change my grahic drivers, it doesnt work!

Do you think formatting could solve the problem before I send my computer to acer?

    Thanx!

that "UP TO 512 memory" kind of makes me think you have a built-in graphics adapter, whish are not known for performance...

my advice is to lower the settings in the games and see if that changes anything.

i'm going to tell you right now that i don't play games and since i "retired" from my job as a PC Tech, i've lost touch w/ the gaming industry.. so i'm not the best person to be answering this.... maybe someone more knowledgeable will step up or maybe you should be posting in this thread,, because i hate to say it,, but i doubt you have a PC problem.... and i'd definately check in the other thread before sending back to ACER

It is not an integrated graphic card..

    It is a ATI Radeon X1400 !!!

    256 mg of ram

    (512 with hypermemory)

ad I was playing those games for 2 years before having problem!!!

    alrighty then....

back up your data and do a factory restore...

if the problem persists then it's most likely a hardware issue (i'd bet on bad RAM)

And stress your GPU using 3DMark06 or this....

Also see if there is a BIOS upgrade that addresses any GPU issues.

    Stressing ?
That looks like overheating. Download HWMonitor to monitor temps. (And try out ATI Tool as well)

I've used the Omega Drivers for my 5672 w x1400 with good results.
