I have had this laptop for about a week. It scored a 2818 on 3dMark05 right out of the box and scored a 2514 after a fresh windows install and NTFS format. Then a 2738 with the new Omega drivers.

Has anyone figured out how to improve the performance of this laptop and video card? It seems that other computers with the X1600 like the 8204 score in the high 3000's or low 4000's with the same gpu. What is going on here?

On a whole the machine seems to work very well, but I am not sure that after formating and reinstalling windows that everything seems to be working as well as it did out of the box.

Anyone have any suggestions or other problems with this particular build of the 5672?

What he/she meant is that it's not necessary.

well if you look at it from acer's lineup, it doesn't make sense to include a 256 in the 5672, but when comparing the 5672 to the z96j there is no comparison for graphics.
