I bought the 5672 (x1600 version) a few days ago to replace my old mitac 8050d, and i'm kinda happy with it, but i found that with some colours (grays and blues mainly) some kind of grain/snow appears on the screen (like if it was a heavily compressed jpg), so the first thing was to update the screen drivers but i still have the same problem. On the other side i've read that it's a bios problem but since it's not stated in the changelog i rather first to ask if someone had that problem too before doing a bios update.

    Thanks in advance

what type of lcd (manufacturer) is it i had that problem with au optronics got it replaced on my dell 1405 with a lg now everything is so much clearer and brighter its like daylight versus dark you might check with tech support and tell them your screen is not usable and see if they will replace it with a different manufacturer

I went for it, updated the bios and now looks correctly. About the screen, you were right it's an Au Optronics, and compared to amazing screen ofthe mitac (samsung) the contrast it's like night and day, but it looks good
