This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     5715Z Overheats

    I converted my 5715Z to Windows XP and now it heats up and shuts off. The fan works, but doesn't come on all the time. In converting to XP, I changed the harddrive and installed another 160Gig drive, but I installed a Seagate 160. Is there any kind of upgrade for the CPU fan? When the fan does come on it cools everything down ok. It just doesn't seem to come on enough.
