Can anyone tell me if there are any differences between the acer 5733z-4851 (which I have) and a 5733z-4633? The bios looks the same. I have a 5733z-4851 that appears to have a bad mouse touch pad. It looks like that is all part of the mother board. I did find a 5733z-4633 here in town on craigslist for sale. I am wondering if i can transfer my hard drive from the bad machine (i reformated it to factory settings) to the new machine if i buy it.... and restore it with with the system images back up I have. Does anyone know if i can do this?

    Thanks X

These number following the model number are only a code for a specific configuration. Co the chassis is the same, the mobo is the same and so on - usually differences are only in CPU, amount of RAM, HDD capacity and sometimes existence of Bluetooth (in very rare cases also screen resolution).

The only difference between the two is the CPU so you should be able to go on with a drive swap and restore you backup image.
