Those are really old GPUs. There are owners with 6770Ms, there is also 7770M, but good luck finding it.

Good choice for price=performance is 6770M GDDR5 1 Gb. Better choice but with higher price is 7770m, but this is very rare card at this moment. The best choice for now is FirePro M4000, that is analogue to 7770m (basically, M4000 is made on 7770m`s chip). M4000 is professional video card with professional drivers, so gaming performance would be slightly lower, than 7770m.
For example I want to buy M4000 - great gaming performance and great CAD performance, as I`m engineer-designer, so for me CAD-optimized drivers is a very good choice. But, M4000 is most expensive card for 5739G at this moment. -
Maybe it's not that expensive after all
Grab it while you can! That's like a third of the price I see listed everywhere else!
-
Oh damn! O_O shipping prices to Latvia are the same as the video card costs
Thanks for the link! Hope I`ll have money soon

Just picked one up myself. Might swap my 6770m out and sell it on. Bargain.

It depends on the version of 6770M. If 6770M is with green PCB, than sBIOS has to be expanded with vBIOS of 6770M or the soldering-mod has to be done (That version of 6770M does not have ROM chip soldered on it). If the 6770M has red PCB - it can be installed in notebook without any modifications (This version of 6770M has ROM chip soldered on it). 6770M with black and blue PCBs are made for MACBooks, so those versions shall not work in our notebook.
In ebay you can find 6770M with green PCB for 99$, with red PCB for 200-250$. -

if its the right version ? so 6770m coming with gddr 3 right ? i mean the red and blue board need bios cus gddr5 on them. -
You need this No1 or this No2.
Why? Because your`s has only GDDR3 memory. This is first. Second, No1 and No2, that I`ve linked to you at this message, both have GDDR5 on-board. Third, No1 does not have ROM chip (BIOS chip), No2 has it. Fourth, to manage your notebook function with No1, you have to make soldering-mod or integrate vBIOS to sBIOS. You can ask valuxin (users nickname) for help, he can integrate it for you. And the fifth, on the photo of video card, that you have linked in your message, I can see, that video card isn`t new. There are some thermal-paste remains. I think it is used already, not new, as seller states. -
like "Core 2 Extreme X9100".I think im gonna upgrade my rams.it is the cheapest way to get performance "2x4 1066" for now.Can you tell what nvidia(gt240m)drv version is good for running games
-
Usually I don`t mess with driver version for gaming. Just install latest version. Also you can overclock gt240m. But FPS increas in games will be ~3-5 points.
About 6770M. You always can ask a help to valuxin about modding sBIOS to run 6770M =) -

You are welcome!

Personally, I have never seen M4000 with 2GB of VRAM. Theoretically, if it has BIOS chip on it and with expanded VRAM ti 2Gb, than there is nothing, that can prevent the card to work in 5739G.
-
We'll see, I just ordered one of it. But intercontinental shipment, so I will not answer so soon, then I will sell my 250m GTS
-
I hope it will work fine. After installation of new card can you post GPU-Z screenshots?
-
-
That`s ok.
it is you, who has to be prepared. )))
-
Drivers installed through AMD Driver Autodetect. GPU-Z shows 7700M like you but AMD FirePro Control Center is installed so it's someway detected as a professional card.
