I've had the 5920G since July and despite numerous driver, software and bios updates etc I still find that several times a day whatever application I'm using will stall for 5-10 seconds with the spinning circle by the cursor and have "not responding" in it's title bar. Has anyone else noticed this or know what the problem is and how to fix it?

I've heard quite a lot of people have apps in vista "not respond" but wanted to see whether my problem was specific to the hardware or whether it's a general vista thing.

Try using Acer eRecovery to restore the system to factory state.

There are at least 2 important Vista updates that speed up response.
I hope you do update system from time to time?

Patrick I think I'm gonna do that when Service pack 1 is out.

sponka my system has all the latest vista patches which includes the 2 you mention. Anyway it's not an issue of performance but rather the app flat out stalling.

    Thanks for the replies guys
