Hello there,
DVD burning is one area of technology I never kept up on. I remember when the technology came out there was alot of confusion over + and -, RAM and ROM and all sorts of stuff.
So here I am with my 5920G (LX.AGW0X.169 UK) and I want to burn a backup DVD etc. The only info I can find on the hardware is that it's a "DVD-Super Multi Double Layer drive".
So help a confused guy out, what sort of DVD writable discs do I buy when I go down the store? Or has everything been standardised since the DVD-R+/- days?
Thanks for any help.

don't worry - it writes and reads everything, including exotic DVD-RAM and also dual layer DVD. However my dual layer back-up DVDs have been recorded only sa single layer. Have no clue why

Try DVD-R, I had some problem with DVD+R while I was makeing backup with ACER Backup software. Make sure You have 10GB free disk space on D: partition or your recording backup dvds my may fail.
