    Hi All Buddies out there,

For all who have downgraded to XP successfully on the above model, can you advise me on the following?

    1) BIOS Version?
    2) Where you get the drivers from?
    3) Using SATA or IDE mode?

I have been repeatingly formatting the notebook again and again, but still comes to a system hang upon booting into windows with a C......021A hardware error code. I noticed that once the system logs on to windows desktop, the color changes to (classic mode-like) and hangs with the above blue screen.

Anyone of you have encountered this problem before? Is there any additional drivers i should install?

By the way, i got my drivers from http://www.acer.com.cn/driver/check_whole.asp?a=d32&sort=notebook&product=AS5920G&path=WinXP

Thanks in advance. Appreciate your help.

    Regards,
    Cant Sleep

I dont think it's got to do with the SATA mode. As i did not install the SATA drivers at all. I am using the IDE mode at the BIOS.
