My 5920G which I got for Christmas is giving me some problems.
I have gone to power options and and changed the settings so when I close the lid, nothing must happen. But when I come back in about 20 minutes after leaving the lid closed, there is no way of me getting the LCD to start up. The only way I can get past this is by pressing the power button in for a few seconds forcing it to shut down. Obviously this is bad for my notebook. How do I get this sorted out? The same thing happens if I leave the lid open and come back in a while.

I have changed the power settings, but I have not tested to see if they work. Will post if they don't work. I have updated my Vista.

I just downloaded the updates from windows updates. No special download. I went to:
Control Panel > Classic View > Power Options > Choose when to turn off the display and put everything on "never."

    I also did this:
Control Panel > Classic View > Power Options > Choose what closing the lid does and put the battery option and plugged in option on "Do Nothing."

It seems to have fixed that problem.
