Hi all, sorry for my english and tnx for any possible suggestion.
About one month ago the VGA of my 5920G after some warning decide to stop working (at least so i thought).
Notebook start, OS start (hear the w7 sound) but no image on screen (black screen).
So i begin to read a lot of thread and with the help of a lamp i've discarded the inverter or lcd lamp problem and with the help of a external monitor i've discarded the whole lcd... remain only the VGA (classic problem of a 8600gs).
First of all i tryed the overtrick but the result is a cooked crisp card...
At this point sure that the problem is the VGA i decided to buy a 9600GT and after the installation of the card no image and no OS load... with the help of some thread i tryed to flash the bios with the SBios Mod of .NetRolller 3D.
Followed the procedure explained in this post http://forum.notebookreview.com/acer/629114-5920g-blind-flash-bios-question.html , the notebook after 30-40 min shuts down, and after the reinstallation of the HD and the VGA, the notebook start, the OS start (w7 sounds) but no image again... olso on the external monitor.
Thinking that the Bios flash procedure was not completed i decided to buy one HD3650 and incredible... black screen again.
After this a tryed the HD3650 on a acer model 6530 of my friend and the result is that the card is good and work fine.
I Installed the copper shim for a possible heating problem but... black screen again.
I tryed to force the VGA signal on the external monitor disconnecting the lcd flat cable from the laptop but the resul is the same... black screen.
5920G and the endless black screen...
