Hey I have had a 5920G for nearly a year and it runs great when it is plugged in. As soon as I unplug it when it is 100% charged, the battery runs out in like 30 seconds. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

    Cheers.

Did you leave your computer plugged in all the time or most of the time? If so, you're going to have to buy a new battery.

I had the same issue and had to buy a new battery.I made the mistake of leaving mine on charge all the time since I use mine as a desk top now.

Yeah I leave it plugged in nearly all the time. When I get a new battery, should i only plug it in when it needs charging?

What I do is keep my battery out of my computer when its done charging, and leave it out until I need it.

A new battery will come with instructions on how to condition it and how to use it.I suggest looking over that or refer to your computers user/owners manual.
