Just unboxed new lappy and first thing that I am trying to check is HD in Media Center, but to my surprise I do not see any options for TV and cannot configure TV with my USB Tuner. I don't know why Acer disabled that. ANyone knows how to quickly enable this?

    THanks!

yes, it's a VBOX 3600 USB tuner, drivers installed fine and it works fine in my HP DV2500T and HP Z552 DEC. I am puzzled that TV option is missing in MC and not even included in the setup

I confirm again that Acer driver installation package cripples MC, it removes TV options.

I decided to do system restore to see if this would resolve this issue. After restore was done and system booted to windows I launched Media Center right away and saw TV options. Then Acer started automatic driver installation (window pops up that you can't close or minimize) after it was complete and system restarted TV options went missing again!!! I might call Acer support because this is ridiculous!

Could you share how you solved this? I might want to get a tv tuner in the near future. Is it true that media cenre does not detect as many channels as using the supplied software?

Acer Arcade plugin for MC overwrites TV options in MC, just uninstall it. I still need to figure out how to make it function alongside TV

Oh bugger, was just about to buy this laptop and now this happens. How do I avoid deleting the TV options?

on my particular laptop it came without those options, but uninstalling Acer Arcade Pack (MC plugin) enables TV options.

Can anyone else confirm this? All you need to do is to launch Media Center.
