    Hey guys,

I'm pretty new in the Notebook world so I was wondering if you guys could compile a list of Do's and Don'ts on the Battery.

    Stuff like:
Wait until it drains out before you plug in and charge it back again.
If you have the AC plugged all the time, it will shorten the battery life (like old cordless phones).

    Thanks a lot!

According to what i know, Li-ion batteries do not suffer from memory effect. Thus, you don't necessary need to drain the battery out before you recharge it. (You don't drain your car's oil before you refuel don't you? Or you do?)

Well, i don't know about it but Li-ion's battery life will automatic shorten as their internal resistance rises as it gets older.

Perhaps you can take a look at the battery guide thread.

It will answer all of your questions when it comes to notebook batteries and how to prolong their life . :)
