I have a 5920g and I have really hard time getting used to the touchpad. It's so sensitive that the cursor would jump randomly across the screen while I type, which happens because I gently touch it with my palm or fingers.

It happens both in Linux and Vista.

Is there a way to reduce the sensibility or even turn it off when I have an external mouse?

    Thanks.

If you have Synaptics Touchpad and Mediatouch driver installed, then:
Open it in the control panel
Click on the tab "device settings"
    Click the "settings" button
Expand the "Sensitivity" Menu and adjust palmcheck and touch sensitivity

Use Fn F7 to Toggle Touchpad On/Off ;)
