Does anyone here play FFXI with notebooks?

I am encountering serious lag issues with the MMORPG FFXI. The FPS goes so low that my game screen just jerks whenever i move it, and the lag is so bad I cannot move around sometimes.

Is this due to the problem of graphic card?

Try updating the drivers of the graphics card.

Seems like my drivers are already up to date, there are some driver udpates for vista specific, but when I tried updating after downloading the file it says couldn't find hardware that matches the driver.

You need to dl the modded inf file and replace the one inside the folder.

Its the drivers. I got a lot of lag with the stock drivers in Guild Wars. The frame rate would be a solid 60FPS, then I would turn and it dropped to 20, then back up to 60, then down to 20 again when I turned my character.
YOu can find the drivers you need at laptopvideo2go.
    I recommend the 163.44 Vista x86 32bit drivers.

I downloaded the file, but the same thing happens when I try to run the set up, it says cannot find the correct hardware for it.

    How do I install it?
