I have my 5920G sitting a mere 2-feet from my wireless router... Upon startup of my 5920G the signal will be, either full, or one or two bars below full signal. I have changed routers from Linksys to IOGEAR, and then back to Linskys.. Same thing. The signal is never the same upon a restart. I would think that the wireless router being 2-feet from the 5920G should be full signal at all times!! Has anyone else noticed this? Are there any upgrades to the 5920G's wireless card.. The card is a Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG.

Did u check the Power scheme for the Wireless (assuming you have Vista)? If is set to Power Save is normal to be rather crappy, if is on Performance you may have a problem with your card.

It is set to performance.. Maybe i'll swap out the card for a 4965AGN, and see what happens. It probably is the card.

Check intel's website and download the latest drivers for your current card. Aslo, go to the router's manufacturer website and download the latest firmware for your router.

If you have the latest of those two, there's no reason why you can't get full connection all the time short of a faulty component.
