Hi.
I was using my laptop normally and suddenly it goes off..after that no light in the laptop with adapter or battery (tested with two batteries).
When i plug the ac adapter in the Laptop the LED of the ac adapter gets blinking with a on/off buzzing sound...so it looks like a short circuit in the laptop motherboard, right?
I´ve noticed that when i connect the AC adapter, one component in the board gets really really hot (only after 2/3seconds)..this is a image of the motherboard (red circle really hot)

Tested the voltage in the ac adapter, board pins and cable, everything looks ok.
Is there anything i can do to resolve this issue? Its doesnt have warranty..
Thanks

That component is a MOSFET

You can attempt replacing it if you have the skills (or someone else does), but that's not a guarantee that it will fix the problem.
I wouldn't plug it back in anytime soon just in case:

Thanks for replying. If you noticed the upper left MOSFET is not aligned, maybe with the heat it got loosed made a bad contact and pufff Now the other MOSFET is doing all the work alone and is overheating..
The FDD6685 are easy to find and it doesnt look very hard to replace both. I think i will give a try..
Rather than a not aligned MOSFET and the other MOSFET overheating i cant see any other problem in the board.
