    Hello!

Just recently bought a 5910g, just wanted to know what exactly are the 2 hidden partitions for.

    Mine is setup like this:
    ? 9.76 gb
    ? 3.24
    C 69.77
    D 66.27

I know it has something to do with the recovery module of acer, but why are there 2 hidden partitions?

Also, if its supposed to contain the recovery module.. Then why the need to burn a system restore disk?

Sorry for the extra thread, but i can't find any specific info about this.

    :)

    ? 9.76 gb=Recovery partition
    ? 3.24 =Acer Arcade Quick lunch Partition
    C 69.77 =You Know this partition
    D 66.27 = "

You need to create recovery disks because HDD can be corrupted

I see, so the disks are "just in case" thing, but otherwise the hidden partitions can do the job is it?

I did a bit more sleuthing and found out that 1 of the partition (maybe the smaller one) contains the D2D manager (when alt+f10 is pressed).

I assume the big one contains vista and acer drivers.

    Thanks for reply!

    Any more infos?

    - partition C: with Vista
    - partition D: empty
    - a hidden partition with Arcade
