Hi Guys,
God willing, I will be buying my Acer 5930G soon. I had a couple of questions I was hoping you could answer:
1) My processor is a P7350. I want to upgrade to P9400/P8600 in the future. Can I buy these processors in the open market and install it myself? Or do I have to send it to the Acer support office? Will my warranty become void?
2) Can I use XP on the 5930G? Vista and I don't agree.
Thanks a lot!!
Saif

Whatever part you upgrade, if you buy the 5930G, don't sell it. Keep it with you, so that you can reinstall it whenever sending the notebook back for service to Acer. -
2) Of course, you can install XP on this laptop.

Before you begin install XP, yuo need to integrate SATA drivers into XP installation files. This is described HERE. There are a lot of picture, but i reccomend you to read the text (Use Google Translate Service. It can translate whole pages) -
Will XP (32 bit) recognize 4 GB memory?
