So I'm looking for a new notebook and was almost sold on an Asus when I saw this machine today (oddly enough in store not online, haven't heard anything about this online really yet?)
I've never bought Acer before, but my brother runs a 17" Acer model and seems happy with it's quality, Anything important to know about Acers on the whole? Me coming from an Asus/HP background?
I'm trying to track downs it's exact specs as it's not on the UK Acer site yet, I have seen it on the global site though, just not sure what configs and spec it will come with, I can only buy it at the moment with the 2gig CPU and no Blu-Ray and a 250Gb hdd, and only 2gigs of RAM, ideally more CPU power, RAM and storage would be good, I'm pretty sure the European models all have Bluetooth as standard though.
I'd also be interested in what kind of overclocks would be possible with the CPU/GPU and how much bloatware they tend to come with, Is it possible to reinstall from the recovery DVD? I'm guessing they don't ship with a bonafide Vista disk!
But getting a 9600GT DDr3 for £600 roughly $1100 strikes me as a helluva deal!
heres hoping for some success stories then! Cheers![]()
/edit: I've found it 2 places online, possibly on Amazon soon?

it is a very well specced machine. Im sitting with it now
Here in Norway its sold with blu-ray, 4gig ram, 320gb hdd, 9600gt and the p7350 cpu. I can also recommend 7730g. 17" with same spec but 2,2ghz. Though the 17" doesnt got the e-sata port that the 5930 got.
I dont get it why acer doesnt mension this computer more, its the best specced comp I've ever seen at theese prices. -
