Greetings everyone, I got myself the Acer Aspire 5930G this past Sunday. I can also mention that my friend bought the exact same computer just a couple hours before, from the same store here in Stockholm, Sweden.

The problem now is that the built in speakers make a fizzing, or I don't know exactly how to describe it, sound, when I play a song for example. The sound became more obvious when having a voiceconversation through Msn with a friend and playing musicvideos on youtube.

Now, my friend appeared to have the same problems with his speaker, just slightly less obvious. It bugged me enough to make a trip back to the store in order to set things straight. Listening to the Demoex at the store, the speakers were even worse, so I just had to accept the fact that "speakers on laptops generally suck"...

I still can't though, and I'd like to know how you experience your built-in speakers, are they "crystal clear" no matter how high of a volume you play (75% and up) ?

Generally they are clear .. but of course they will be cracking when the volume is set to high output.

I think it might have to do with the surface under the laptop, which is actually an office table at this time... so... it's really getting annoying. It's only from the right speaker.

With that being said, I had the same problem with my Dell Studio 15 that I bought 2 weeks ago and then returned for exactly this reason. My current phone the nokia 6220 classic, I had to change 1 day after i bought it, because of the exact same problem. Me and electronics don't go hand in hand I tell you...

Laptop speakers are made for "basic sounds".

It is physically impossible to get really good sound out of a lappies speakers.

The area is just way too small.

No matter what anyone tries to tell you.

However....Plug a cord into the earphone out and then into a proper Amp. With decent speakers.

    Heaven.

    I kid you not.

    Cheers,
    Theo

I think it's about some vista or acer's factory default programs.
    they are working everytime.
maybe you can get more clear sound with an XP install.

I know mate, it's just that it pisses me off when it keeps happening to me all the time. At home I'm definitely with you, however on the road or on a vacation, it can be devastating. That vista thing sounds interesting - I might check up on that! Thnx guys for your input!
