Hi,
I've been messing around with the screen settings to get rid of the blueish look of the image, that most of gemstone blue users have encountered to their screens. I've tried a lot of software calibration settings and... nothing. And then, I've started setting it using my desktop monitor (Samsung 730BF, best 17" monitor, two years ago).
The fix?
Well, in nViDiA Control Panel, at the Adjust Desktop Color Settings, do the following modifications:
Brightness - 40%
Contrast - 60%
Then select the blue color channel:
Brightness - 35%
Contrast - 60%
Gamma - 45%
That's it. The blueish look will disappear (if it's too greenish or still blue, use the gama slider to tune it further).
I hope you will find it useful, I surely did (had to use the notebook for some Photoshop stuff and the image was not pleasing...).
