I am thinking about restoring our 6920G. We have been having some issues with it. I would reinstall Vista Home Premiue x64. What drivers would I need and what apps should I install?

I'm not sure what programs you would need but I always liked installing these:

CCleaner - for cleaning out unneeded files
CCCP - Combined Community Codec Pack - for watching videos
    FireFox - self-explanitory
    Irfanview (for .gif images)
Winrar - to open .rar files or .zip files

If you need any Firefox addons, I recommend using AdBlock Plus and NoScript since that will block a majority of spyware or adware attacks.

You would also want a decent security system. I recommend Kaspersky or Eset. Norton is also very good and more user friendly though it is a pain to uninstall.

You would want to update your video drivers and update windows but I'm not too keen on which drivers should be updated.

I'm also not too sure on which hobbies you have. If you could tell me, i could recommend other programs. Hope this helps!

Burn your drivers and applications disc using Acer eRecovery!!
You'll need the Realtek audio driver, Dritek Launch Manager, JMicron card reader driver, and some of the other stuff.

I made the backup DVDs the day I got this so I have those. I went on Acers website and downloaded everything they have on the site to my USB pen drive.

Would it be best to just restore the system image then delete everything or just reinstill from a retail Vista DVD.

Also I have bios v1.10. Should I upgrade to 1.14?

Don't bother with the BIOS update. AFAIK, it doesn't change a thing.
I personally go from a retail Vista DVD and put everything back on.

I think for now going to just restore and remove stuff I do not want/need. See how it runs from there.

Hurt my hip the other day so just sitting here doing it now and using my iPhone to check the forums.
