Hello,
I have the 6920G-834G32BN for about 1 month now. Haven't had any problems until now.
I use my laptop as a bluray drive alot, so I rent blurays and I connect my laptop to my 46" tv so I can watch it in nice quality.
Anyways, normally, when I connected my laptop to my tv, my 1280x720 resolution would automatically become 1920x1080 and the screen would turn black.
Suddenly (some days ago) when I connected my laptop to my TV, my laptop screen was changed to 1920x1080 but the screen didn't go black, and the TV couldn't find a signal.
Now.. Things I know:
- Its not the HDMI-OUT hardware, because when I connect it to my tv and I boot my laptop, it gives signal until I log on any of my windows users
- Fn+f5 doesnt work at all
- When I go into nvidea's control panel and select 2nd screen, it gives an error
- I updated my video drivers to the latest, didnt make a difference
- I didnt install/deinstall anything that should cause the problem, it just suddenly was there.
- I don't want to reset it to factory defaults because I have valuable data+registered programs on my laptop and I need it for School
I hope I gave enough information, thanks in advance!

have you tried with WHQL drivers?
I had some troubles when using non-whql drivers.
mine is the 8920G-834G32BN, the same except for the screen. -
Thanks for the answer! I have tried to install a WHQL driver (177.83) and there was some success. Now when I connect it to my tv, I get a bar of the screen, and the rest is black
(like this):
So when I for example, move a window into that bar area, I can see parts of it. Its like a 1280x120 resolution in the top of the screen. This only happens when I set my resolution to 1920x1080 though. When I set my resolution to 1280x720, I get the whole screen, only downsized, so it has black bars on the top+bottom+left+right.
(like this)
I tried to modify settings on my tv, set it to "Scan only". Didn't help.
Any other tips?
Thanks. -
