There are certain games I can't play at the moment because It will only let me hold down so many keys on the keyboard. Is this a set hardware limit or is there a way to change it? Basically it requires a lot of fast movements with the arrow keys which is not possible because when I make several at once, the last will be disregarded due to some overlap.

This is normal, it's currently happening on all my laptops(Asus, Acer and Dell). As far as I know this is perfectly normal for every regular keyboard, I for one have experienced this on many keyboards. I guess if you get an expensive "gaming" keyboard this issue won't be present, I don't know.

You can try to increase Keyboard Size buffer in Windows Registry.
