    Hey,

I bought my acer 6920G 3 days ago and today , when i switched on the laptop, it showed the XP bootup screen, and it showed a acer arcade initializing window, and went to the acer arcade..

Then when i exited it , it loaded back into vista..

Is this a problem? or has it happened to any others here?

    Thanks.

here are some LINKS about this happening
i noticed that a NEW BIOS FLASH claimed to fix the problem on the 5920.... so surely they are working on fixes for the other models... IIRC, the major issue this causes is.... it erases your system restore points that WINDOWS VISTA saves for use as a part of the SYSTEM RESTORE feature... (see windows help & support for more info).... so it's not a HUGE issue unless you are constantly changing video drivers and want to be able to roll the entire system back to a previous time and state (because those restore points are deleted)..... that is just from memory... don't hold me to it,,, read the links above i'm positive the answer has been asked/answered a few times....
