Sometimes when I listen to music or watch movies for a while the sound gets all echoey and I have to close the program then re-open the file to fix it. What's wrong with the laptop?
I have the most current Realtek driver from Acer's site.
-
Do you have any enhancements enabled in the Realtek control panel? Are there any enhancements enabled in your music application that might cause this?
-
Just disabled my bass boost setting in Realtek and will try again.

i have the same problem
someone mentioned it before i think, not sure if they found a fix though -
Just turned it off, and still have the problem.
-
I know it's a silly thing, but do you have your microphone muted?
-
playing with my settings now so will get back to you with a fix soon.

wow that sounded odd.
ok control panel>open sound/audio manager> set Enviroment to none
check the Loudness Equalization box.
set Equalizer to rock (this has the best sound slope).
Next.Default format Tab> set to DVD Default.
then make sure in the speakers configuration the virtaul sorround is unchecked.
then its down to you to set-up media player.
mine sounds great now, the echo was bad sounds like someone singing in a tube.
best of luck

I think what Hoggie suggested to do actually worked for me. It's been a while since I last heard these weird sounds.
-
No, I leave it on since I video call often.
-
I'll try this when I get home. Thanks!
-
Just did it, wish me luck.
