    Hello all,

I am experiencing a problem with my 6920g laptop throttling down when playing games when the heat increases eg. GTA IV.

I've already tried just using RM-Clock Utility and setting it for max performance but yet it still clocks down with heat increase.

I’ve seen an excellent guide on here for lowering the voltage of my laptop so would this help with gaming (as well as the general running of the laptop) and can anyone here advise as to whether RM-Clock Utiliy or Notebook Hardware Control software is the best to use.

    Thanks in advance…

What you need to do is, when it's throttling during gaming.
DO NOT QUIT YOUR GAME. ALT TAB AND GO TO YOUR DESKTOP.
    Click and open Rmclock.
You go to the advance tab of Rmclock.
Untick "Enable Extended Throttling" and click apply.
After that, tick back "Enable Extended Throttling" and click apply.
Go back to your game and enjoy.
YOUR LAPTOP WON'T BE THROTTLE AGAIN!
BUT IF YOU QUIT THE GAME AND START IT AGAIN.
Your laptop will start to throttle and you need to redo the steps I shown.

Thanks for the advise Darksilver...I went the full hog and have undervolted my 6920g and am currently 30 mins into a stress test for FID 12.0x with a stable 0.9875v.

Have tried 45 mins of GTA IV too and the throttling has gone and no BSOD so far !!!

    Cheers for the advice.

So, you used my method or just normal undervolt?
I used to set my Voltage to 0.925V(with no BSOD) with 10.5x FID(maximum for T8100 2.1GHz).
Basically, when it is throttle(based on luck sometime it throttle sometime did not I also feel weird for this), I will just untick apply tick apply. Go back to the game and enjoy. LoL.

I tried your method first Darksilver but while playing GTA IV I had to ALT TAB on 3 different occassions while playing when it started throttling so then thought I'd try the undervoltin method and set RMclock to Maximum Peformance. All is good so far.

    Thanks
