    hey,

I've recently installed windows 7 64-bit ultimate on my laptop. Everything worked fine, including sleep and shutdown. Yesterday, I opened my laptop to clean the fan. After I finished, Win7 restarts on shutdown and instantly wakes up on sleep. Even during the boot process if i press the power button it restarts, i have to hold down my power button for 3 seconds for it to shutdown.

what do you think could be the problem?

    Regards

I think go to your Power Option and Check.
Because Vista Power Option is different from 7 Power Option.

But it's a weird problem. So far, I believe it's not Windows 7 bugs. Probably, your BIOS or something like that.
