To be more precise, I get 3h20mn ;) But I get 3h by runing a divx movie. I got more than enough battery (2h45mn) to play the movie 300 in MKV x264 720P.

I'm running a less-efficient 6920G, and I can eke out about 3-3.25 hours on my eight-cell battery at min. brightness and Power Saver plan.

When I'm runing on Battery I'm always on Balanced plan, the brightness is at 60-70% at least. Anyway 100% brightness is too bright, I rarely use it, even when my notebook is plugged...

Wow, I'm glad to see Acer improving :) My 8-cell on the go (min screen brightness, wi-fi, medium CPU usage) can get around 3 hrs, I could probably get up to 30 min more by disabling a few other processes and wi-fi.

is the same for me is too bright...(i have a 5930G acer) but i think the movies should watch it with full bright... the problem is that you have your wi-fi and other stuff taking energy from your battery i try to use head set and diable some stuff for the notebook for better energy saving ;)

Well, when I use my notebook I use it primarilyfor Internet and Design, so I can't really disable the WiFi unless I don't have any network signal. Just have to push a button to disable it ;)

We can watch some movies in full bright but sometimes, for some movies in 2:35 aspect, the letterbox come close to grey because the high brightness level... 100% is ok for 1:85 aspect movies or TV Series as I don't have letterbox.
