Hi,
I currently have 4GB DDR3 RAM
T9400 Penryn CPU (45nm)
The laptop is 6935G with PM45 chipset and V1.20 BIOS (03/16/10).
Geforce 9600m GT
Also, in CPU-Z max Bandwidth is showing PC3-8500F (533 MHz), is that just a lousy stick of ram or is it a limitation of the system? What's the fastest/best ram configuration I can buy for this system? The FSB is rated at 1066 Mhz.
Has anyone gotten 8GB of ram to work? Has 6GB been confirmed working for all users?
What is best and latest BIOS that can be flashed for this system?
Thanks
-
PC-8500F is in fact 1066MHz so it's as fast as it goes - it's 533MHz times two (since it's DDR - Dual Data Rate).
Is it a single stick of RAM? If so it should be relatively easy to even borrow another 2GB stick of DDR3 1066MHz to confirm it's working for you. -
2x 2gb unfortunately. I remember somewhere a few years back a 1.21 version BIOS (insyde) and somewhat to unlock visualization, but I don't know if any new compatible BIOS was released, or even what happened to the unofficial v1.21.
