Hi, I installed a new m/board (MB.AHH02.001) with 1.45 bios version in my 7720g. My problem is that vista 32 bit does not even see the adapter in device manager, I've installed the drivers and still nothing......is this a bios issue/conflict between the card and bios? Any help would be very much appreciated......

Is the wireless kill switch (first button in the row below the power button) enabled? Is the card enabled in the BIOS? (Not sure if it is visible in the factory BIOS - "MXM Edition" has it for sure.)

Just tried the card from my aspire 552 (Atheros 5R5B97) and vista detected new hardware. Somewhere in the back of my mind I seem to remember a bios update rendered some adapters useless.......power issue I think. Am I a million miles away or what?
Sorry if my post has bored you a little guys but I'm just an old geek trying his best to get a grip on the joys of today's technology.......

Can you check in another notebook if the 3945 even works properly?

AFAIK it is in the "OEM configuration" menu. Not sure if it is visible in the original version of the BIOS - try "MXM Edition" from the x920g thread.
