To make the 2nd hard drive bay usable, I was able to source the parts through Acer Tier 1 Support. They are.
    HDD Door =42.PUM07.004
    HDD Bracket=33.PUM07.003
    HDD Dip Housing=PUM07.001

I hope this saves someone some time trying to find them. I have the parts and there installed so I know they work.

Acer 2nd HDD Picture. I was able to find the service manual also, but I guess I cant share it. They want everyone to buy it like I had to.

I read over at newegg that someone tried that and it did not work. The new door has a different design and has a more room for the drive. Its the outside edge of the hard drive that wont allow the door to close if you try to use the old door. That's why I took a picture of both doors.

I've talked to and chatted with support the last 2 days and tey are clueless. They even questioned my warranty status and thought I was "modifying" this unit. So after 30 minutes on the phone....I hung up. They just don't seem to understand the simple thing I want is those 3 parts....

Umm..that green plate in yout pic is part of the motherboard and not removable.

Here is where I found the parts:

HDD-Connector+Bracket 2.HDD for Acer Aspire 7745: battery, power supply, display, etc - Laptop Repair Shop

Actually they sell all 3 parts together in a kit. They are out of Germany but seem to be ok for they sell to US customers and even take PayPal. I searched all around the net for these parts and couldn't find any US suppliers for them. Just dealers from Germany, France, Australia, and the UK.

    Hope this helps.
