Well I just got my 8104 and things have not gone well. First I tried converting to NTFS and all went well on partition not being used but when I converted the partition that windows was on and it needed to reboot to do it never worked. So I decided to throw in the recovery cd's and just reormat. Do that and when all is good to go I try installing windows updates but with no luck. Not one would install. So I reformat again and try to install updates and they install flawlessly. Get the laptop set up the way I like it and then start surfing the net wirelessly. All of the sudden I get an error where all I can see before it reboots is saying the computer needs to physically dump the memory. When it restarts computer says it used an old configuration to fix its self and I press ok. It runs good for 10 min and then physicaly needs to dump memory again. This time when I try to click ok on the message saying it needed to use old configuration it freezes and does this everytime I try and reboot. So I reformat and try to install windows updates I get physical memory dump again and it reboots. So now i can install about 2 updates at time or it crashes. What is causing this problem and what can I do to fix it? Thanks for any help offered.

Ok so I just ran Memtest86 and I recieved a ton of errors, like 250000. So I think I have some bad memory. Just got the computer 2 days ago and I know newegg.com says that the computer is warrentied by the manufacture, but will they send me out a new one if it has been so soon or do I have to talk to Acer about the problem and try and get them to fix it?

Try reseating the memory modules.
-
How do I do that? Just take them out and put them back in or can I do something software related?
-
You have to physically remove them and reseat them.
-
I don't think you'll have any problem with Acer send you some new ones if they are defective.

Please... seperate your sentences... no one likes reading blocks of words.

Well took out the memory and put it back in but still had errors running memtest-86, so I tested each module individually. One tested with no errors and the other had a ton of errors. So right now I am running the computer with the one memory module and it is working just fine. I will call Acer tomorow and hopefully I can just send in the defective memory and not the whole computer. Thanks for all of your help.
