    Hi all,

New to this forum, I'm the (quite) happy owner of a TM8204.

I got rid of all the ACER software, kinda buggy and slow. I uninstalled everything and just installed the notebook hardware control.

Here are my three (related) questions :

    1. CPU temp, according to NHC, never goes under 66°C, even in dynamic switching. Is it normal? Is there something to do to lower down the cpu temp?

    2. what sofware do you use for this comp? I'm talking about software to replace the empowering technologies. i didn't like the acer power management. what graphic driver do u use?

    3. this question is related to the first one. the fan is always on. and of course, this is a bit noisy. something to do?

thanks for all your advices... i'm new to acer, need help ;-)

    have a good day!

    zts,

Sorry for not getting a response earlier, I just installed NHC so now have some clue what you are talking about.

CPU temp of 66 sounds high, mine (8204) runs at around 55-57 doing nothing, fan is only on when I start running games or something that requires a lot of processor power.

    2. Graphics drivers I'm using the latest version of the Omega drivers, do a quick search for them in Google, seem to work well.
