Where'd you get 3312 from?

My laptop is on Acer at this moment to repair the "buzz" issue. I will try to upgrade the Bios as soon I get my laptop back. According to the bios description:
; Date : 03/09/'06
; ZB1 BIOS Ver. : v1.3312 (3C12)
; ATi M56 : br18429.bin
; EC : ZC1029.bin
;
1. Update VBIOS for M56 B26.
2. Fix there is no removable icon in Windows Vista
append\asl\bay_pm.asi (modify XEJ0 to _EJ0)
append\asl\bay_ps.asi (modify XEJ0 to _EJ0)
append\asl\bay_sm.asi (modify XEJ1 to _EJ0)
zc1.tc1\oem_bay.asm (mask oemBayPatchEjx)
Maybe ATi M56 is related to the ATI video board. -
Yes, M56 is the ATI video board -
It doesn't get rid of the buzzing noise (unfortunatly) but it does decrease it.

CoolHotCold... Did it improve the LCD's brightness?

To be honest i never had a dark screen to complain about. But when im in a dark room (like now) it does seem to produce more light.. But it might just be me imaging it as i've heard people talking about it.

Check that out. It seems that its increased brightness for some people...
*wonders what affect it has on battery life*
Btw anyone found a Service manual/Guide to open the TravelMate 8204(or 8202) yet. Also i've heard the Ferrari 4000 has a similar chasis so that would do to. -
I have updated to 3312 too, and before doing so I have take pictures of the screen at 100% of brightness.
I didn't found any brightness difference before and after the bios update... the screen is always not so bright like tm800 or tm8100 are... -
I updated Bios to 3312 (from 3309), and my screen brightness is unchanged. My screen's brightness has never been a concern, but I was hopeful to "need sunglasses," as someone else posted.... alas, no.
But I've had no problems since flashing the Bios, either! Anyone else note any changes?
