    HI all..

Every once in a while, the power indicator on my 8204, which would normally be green when AC is connected, flashes amber instead. I can't find anything about this in the documentation.

    Any idea what this means?

    Thanks

I would guess at a couple of possible options (based on my old toshiba).

    1. Does the light flash amber when the battery is charging, or is it solid amber (I can't recall). If it normally flashes amber when the battery is charging, then it's probably just that it stops charging the battery when the battery is full, and is "catching" up.

    2. Alternatively, it may be a problem with the power charging system, in which case might want to have it checked out.

I'd say call/e-mail acer and see what they have to say, but not worry about it until it seems to be an issue.

    I have the same problem.

It occurs at least when I try to hibernate, but it fails, and then the sleep defaults to standby. If I then go to standby, the power led will blink yellow like it is supposed to; but if I restore back to Windows, the led keeps blinking yellow, even though it should change to green.
