I've attempted to install both the x86 and x64 versions of Windows 7 on my Acer Aspire 8920g. On both versions, sound from the left/right/centre speakers underneath the display is played through the rear speakers on the underside of the laptop. In addition, any sound played through the rear speakers comes through the front.

I've tried Realtek's newest drivers as well as the ones from Acer's website. Both have the same result. I've also tried installing various Acer applications which made no difference.

Just wondering if anyone has successfully ran Windows 7 on this laptop without any audio issues, or if anyone has any tips/workarounds on how I can find a solution to this problem. Would updating the bios help?

    Many Thanks.

I use Realtek Vista drivers and get great sound on my Sager 9710 in Windows 7.
